Meet Our 2026/2027 Curatorship Team

Every community is shaped by the people who choose to lead it. In Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, that choice belongs to the members. Each year, Shapers elect their own to guide their hubs, and Global Shapers Community Lagos Hub, has just done exactly that.

We are excited to announce the results of our elections for the 2026/2027 Curatorship team!

Please join us in congratulating;

Titilayo Abaniwonda as Curator
Chijioke Ukomadu as Vice Curator, and
Gift Komilogbon as Impact Officer.

In the Global Shapers Community, leadership is not a title. It is a responsibility. Curators and their teams are volunteers who give their time to set a hub’s direction, keep its projects moving and speak for its members across the wider network. They are chosen by the Shapers they serve, which means they are accountable to them.

That responsibility carries particular weight in Lagos, Nigeria. Our city is full of energy, ambition and challenges that will not wait. Global Shapers Lagos exists to bring young professionals and community leaders together to turn that energy into projects that make a real difference, from economic empowerment to civic engagement. Guiding that work takes vision, and it takes a team willing to hold the hub together as it grows.

This is what meaningful youth engagement looks like. It goes beyond being invited to the table. It means young people setting the priorities, leading the work and owning the results. When Shapers elect their own leaders, they practise the principle we advocate in our communities: young people are not waiting to inherit the future, they are building it.

The year ahead is already full of promise. In November, Global Shapers Lagos will convene all 17 Global Shapers hubs across Nigeria for the Nigeria Regional Retreat 2026, a working gathering built around collaboration and shared delivery. It is exactly the kind of moment a new curatorship team is here to steer.

To Titilayo, Chijioke and Gift: congratulations, and thank you for stepping up. We wish you an impactful and successful tenure. To every Shaper who voted: thank you for showing up for your hub.
